Abstract

The present studies deal with two species, i.e., Chrysodeixis chalcites Esper, 1789 and Chrysodeixis eriosoma (Doubleday, 1843) of family Noctuidae (Lepidoptera) from India, which are determined by DNA barcoding and studying the adult morphology and their genitalic characterization. Besides this, DNA barcodes, i.e., 708 base pairs from the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I gene were also generated by submitting the materials to the Indian Institute of Horticulture Research, Bangalore.
